Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 August 2026. These terms apply when you buy from SaltLights.co.uk. They do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
1. About us
Salt Lights is a UK sole-trader business. Our trading and correspondence address is 10 Kennet Square, Mitcham, CR4 3RR, United Kingdom. Contact us at [email protected].
2. Products and natural variation
We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Natural rock-salt products vary in colour, shape, mineral pattern, texture, weight within the stated band and small natural fissures. Screen colours and photographs are a guide rather than a promise that two natural pieces will be identical.
Product pages state what is included. Electrical products intended for UK use are supplied with the fitting, bulb and UK plug described on that page.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include applicable UK taxes. Delivery charges or location surcharges, where configured, are shown at checkout before you place the order. Payment is processed securely by the payment provider you select; we do not receive your full card number.
4. Ordering and the contract
Your checkout submission is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not by itself mean we have accepted the order. A contract is formed when we send dispatch confirmation, unless we have expressly accepted it earlier. We may decline an order where a product is unavailable, pricing is clearly incorrect, payment is not authorised or delivery is not reasonably available. If payment has been taken, it will be refunded.
5. Delivery
Standard delivery is free to most supported UK addresses. Some remote, island and offshore postcodes incur a location surcharge because delivery costs more there. Any surcharge is calculated from the delivery postcode and parcel weight and is shown in the basket or checkout before payment.
We select an appropriate delivery company according to the item’s size, weight and destination, so a particular company is not guaranteed. Estimated dates and the complete order total are shown at checkout. We aim to dispatch within the estimate shown, and unless otherwise agreed will deliver within 30 days. Delivery delays outside our reasonable control will be communicated as soon as practicable.
We cannot deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses through the normal checkout. If checkout reports that no delivery option is available, contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether a separate service and price can be arranged.
Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or a person you nominate. Please check that the delivery address and access details are accurate, particularly for heavier lamps.
6. Cancellation and returns
For most online purchases, consumers may cancel from the time of order until 14 days after delivery and then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods. Our separate Returns and Refunds policy explains the statutory right, our additional 30-day option, return costs, exceptions and refund timing.
7. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their normal purpose. Contact us promptly if an item is damaged, faulty or incorrect. Nothing in these terms excludes remedies available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. Our responsibility
We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of your statutory rights. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.
9. Product safety and care
Follow the supplied instructions and product-page guidance. Keep salt products away from water and excessive humidity, use the specified bulb and fitting, place heavy lamps on a stable surface and unplug an electrical product before changing a bulb or if moisture reaches electrical parts.
10. Personal information
We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Payment providers and couriers receive only the information needed to process payment, prevent fraud and deliver the order.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law applicable in the part of the United Kingdom where you live. Consumers may bring proceedings in their local UK courts.
