Shaped Himalayan salt lamps
Shaped lamps are cut from the same Himalayan rock salt as our natural lamps, then carved into a finished form and polished. If you want something more deliberate than a raw rock, this is the range to look at. We stock spheres, pyramids, cubes, half moons and hearts, each mounted on a turned hardwood base and supplied with a 15 W bulb, cord and UK plug.
How they differ from natural lamps
A carved lamp gives a more even, symmetrical glow because the wall thickness is consistent. A natural lamp is brighter in the thin places and darker in the thick ones, which is part of its character. Shaped lamps also sit more predictably on a shelf, and they tend to suit a modern room where a raw rock can look out of place.
Sizes
Most shaped lamps stand between 15 cm and 19 cm tall, which puts them in the same practical bracket as a 2-4 kg natural lamp. They are bedside and side-table objects rather than room lights. If you need something that lights a whole living room, look at the larger weights in our natural salt lamps.
